Ron Thiering, born in southern Alberta to a German immigrant father and Métis mother, has lived in the Edmonton area since 1969.

While he spent most of his career running several successful businesses in the home construction industry, he also partnered with a Japanese company exporting house packages.

For the past 30 years, he and his wife, Loretta, have successfully operated Edmonton International Raceway, Western Canada’s only NASCAR-sanctioned track.

Committed to community and philanthropy, Ron is a lifelong Liberal who believes Canadian values align with Liberal principles. With 40 years in the private sector, he is dedicated to representing Edmonton Strathcona with a strong voice in Ottawa.
